When there are links pointing back to your website this tells a search engine that there is interest in the information you are providing on different locations on the Internet. What many website designers have done in the past was to create multiple pages on the same site that have links that point back to the main domain, this will not work with search engines today. Search engines are looking for web sites that are structured correctly with the correct SEO which means you cannot have links pointing back to your site, from your site.

Structuring a web site using SEO techniques is very important, and in most cases will make or break a businesses or companies that are using methods that are ineffective.
